Whether you are organizing a family gathering, a birthday, or a corporate event, you certainly want to treat your guests with an unforgettable experience. We want to share some ideas and suggest how you can make your event unique, fun, but still classy and affordable.
1. Hire a private chef
Food is the detail of your event that can make the “make it, or break it“ impression. No matter if you are throwing a private, or a company event, a good catering, or a customized menu will be noticed.
Did you know that you can hire a private chef who can make a menu tailored for your and your guests’ needs?
If you are not sure what to expect from a private chef, and how to make sure you’ve made a good choice, check our guide on how to choose a private chef.
Just imagine how classy would it be to have a private chef serve his specialties in front of your guests? Your guests will surely be wowed, they’ll take pics for social media, and talk about the food days after the event is over.
If you are throwing a birthday party, or other celebration for family and friends, we suggest that you talk with your chef about some safe foods, traditional dishes that will please everybody’s taste. But, this is also a chance to be different, and to serve some unexpected meals, exotic dessert, etc.
How do Loza’s private chef sample menus seem to you? Would this be something that will surprise your guests?
Of course, these are just suggestions, a good private chef will first listen to your needs, check if there are any vegetarians among your guests, or any other special request that should be considered when creating the menu.
2. Throw a tasting menu event
A tasting menu event is quite similar to our previous suggestion, but the catch here is that the event is focused on chef’s specialities that are usually served in a five course meal, paired with wine.
A tasting menu is usually held in a venue of your choice, or at the chef’s private part of a restaurant. It is an exclusive, intimate event where the focus isn’t just on the food (although it is the main part of the event 🙂 ).
Here’re some of the testimonials from Loza’s tasting menu events:
Whatever occasion you are celebrating, this type of event can really amaze your guests! A tasting menu is not only a dinner where they can try food, but a place where they can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, hear some interesting stories about different countries, explore new tastes, etc.
For example, at Loza private dinners guest can learn some secret recipes and hear personal stories from our private chef Zivko Radojcic. All in all, it is a unique experience where guests are guided through the Balkan region by creating a unique blend of modern and traditional cuisines.
3. Host a cooking class
Cooking classes are an ideal opportunity to learn (or develop) a new skill, have fun, bond with your family, friends, or colleagues, and eat some delicious food!
Today, cooking classes can be held in a venue you choose (your private kitchen, restaurant, summer house, etc.), or online. They are great to be held for a group of people where everyone participates, and enjoys!
Make a surprise event for any gathering, choose a cooking class, or ask a private chef to create a custom one, and be sure that everyone will have an unforgettable time!
Cooking classes are suitable for your elderly guests (grandparent friendly as well!), but also kids. Check out cooking classes made for kids & youngsters where they can learn how to make their favorite cookies, bake a (simple) cake, pastry, and similar. Combine learning with fun!
Don’t worry if you, or some of your guests are better at cooking than others. A good chef will guide everybody to learn how to cook at their own pace, without stress.
You can make a small competition, or imagine that you are in one of those famous cooking shows. It’s all up to your imagination!
Cooking classes are suitable for so many occasions, can be held in various places, and there’s a variety of food you can learn how to make.
4. Recreate a famous restaurant at home
Okay, taking your guests out can be quite expensive. Besides, some guests might not like the place you chose, it’s complicated for them to organize transportation, or they simply don’t want to go out. Well, did you know that you can turn your dining room into a fine-dining restaurant?
What you’ll need:
- Suitable decoration
- A private chef, or a good catering
- A good mood!
Choose a menu you liked at a specific restaurant, describe a decoration style you like, call your guests, and enjoy!
